I know a lot of species do interbreed. My daughter's first lambing experience after college, they had a "shoat." Presumed a cross between a sheep & a goat. I actually saw these animals, so its not heresay.

So you didn't know whether to milk it or fuck it !

I actually saw these animals, so its not heresay. The same ewe had same type every lambing, which lived a few weeks & died, for no apparent reason. The vet, who was also our vet at that same time, explained he had seen a few like that in the area. Hill country, not many people around, & they had proof of deer/sheep matings. Would account for the hairy coat & not a fleece. That was in Northumberland, roughly 1988.

Bloody rum that. A chum of mine is a vet of some 40 years experience and he has never heard of, nor thinks it possible, for a sheep to mate with a deer. I'd like to know what proof there is for this happening just so I can show him. A sheep and an goat I can well believe (how does one sort them out?) but not a deer.

In the fish world, it's fairly common to find hybrids. I've caught roach/bream and roach/rudd hybids before. In the hunt for heavier and more exotic carp, some angling clubs are cross-breeding different types of carp to stock their waters with.

Vet was from practice in Morpeth, Northumberland, one who keeps "rare breeds." I actually touched these animals & their coat was a definite "coat" not a "fleece." Appeared to be very harsh to touch, like a deer. A goat has a different texture, IMO. I had no reason to doubt this vet, but there again, I doubt a lot of Doctors, so its up to you what you believe. If its untrue, I know IM not lying so he must be !! There again, there have been a few times stranger things have happened. The farm is in Netherwitton, Northumberland. Obviously Im not putting names on here.

I would not be at all surprised if such creatures as these exist in a lab somewhere.

I dont think that we are too far away from the day when any gene from any animal, including humans, can be inserted into an embryo to achieve a desired outcome/ characteristic for a certain purpose.

Thats why i find the hole super soldier thing a bit clumbsy and hap hazard,if they wont a super soldier then im sure trhey could produce something awesome and efficiant that does not ask questions and can be programmed using electronics.
Or better still be controlled remotely like a drone.

I think the same, some of those poor American Kids that claim to be super soldiers, crikey, they look like Walter the softy out of Denis the menace,- schitzoids that have spent too much time on video games.

What I would find a very frightening scenario is gene manipulation and mass cloning to produce a slave race. Knowing the nasty mentality of Powers that Be and with reference to previous "great" civilisations such as the Romans who had a total reliance on slaves to drive the economy this could be the plan when the present economy stimulator "oil" runs short.

We must not forget that human slavery takes many forms including a life of work and toil due to being trapped in debt in an effort to keep a roof over your head and provide for you family while the shadow rulers and owners of the machines live a life of luxury wth out worry or fear.

If the lifestyle of the rich and powerful is threatened due to energy shortage you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be return to overt slavery.

The other frightening thing is that how easy slavery would be accepted due to the failures of human nature and the "I'm alright Jack" or "as long as its not me" attitude.

Thank goodness mass cloning appears to be rendered impossible due to "duplicity" which is the weakening and dilution of genetic information everytime a clone is copied. This is why there is such a large number of gross mutations and miscarriages.

Dont forget there is probably a huge difference in science and technology that is in the public domain compared to what the military might already have. I dont think we would get to know about it unless WW3 breaks out between the super powers. Even then it would probabily still be hidden as best they could, It's frightening to think what they might have. They could already have an army of psychopathic clones on ice, who knows.

We are that race, according to some.
