Once we accept that CO2 is to blame it becomes moot whether volcanoes or mankind produce the most

Very good point nordsee.

Carbon dioxide is vital for the flora of the planet.

There is one gas that does not get as much of a mention,METHANE, yes I know they blame cows for producing a lot of it.

It is one of the main gasses produced by fracking. They tend not to mention that.

It is also eighty to a hundred times more detrimental to the atmosphere than CO2.

They also have one hell of a leak of methane in Los Angeles. Thousands have had to evacuate their homes due to headaches and nose bleeds.

With most of American taxes going to banks and wars,is it any wonder the infra structure is falling apart?

Taxing CO2 is far easier than taxing methane. Planes and cars don't, as far as I know, emit methane.

In the winter of 2014 the E.U. said that Britain was eligible to apply for aid in stocking up its food banks. Cameron refused.

After the floods the E.U. has a budget to help those countries whose households are not insured for flood damage. Has Cameron applied for these funds?

I forwarded this to a good number of people with the wording, "So you think the government is doing all it can to assist those with wrecked homes, farms and businesses after the floods (with more likely to come)? So you think the government really cares about those forced to go to foodbanks?"

This is my take on the issue: The gummint wants us to stay in the EU. People on their knees know that the EU is prepared to help but out illrustyarsed leaders say, "NO!"
Come the referendum, the people will vote to stay IN.
As Adolf is alleged to have said, if you want to pass an unpopular law, set up a situation so the people will ask you to do it.

My mate Geoff has asked me to sign the e petition to have cars reassessed over their emissions.
I argued that this is simply going to result in yet another tax hike. That said, I added that I do support action over the completely fudged fuel economy figures the car manufaturers lie through their teeth about.

He wrote back saying he supported the cause because of the CO2, carbon dioxide, we all have to breathe.

I counter argued that the petition doesn't talk about CO2 but NO, Nitrous Oxide.

I asked him, "So are you saying you support a tax on LAUGHING GAS ?????"

more on the American town of flint and its drinking water pollution problems with a time line of how long it took the authorities to admit there was a problem.

http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/timeline-water-crisis-flint-michigan-36419075

Extrapolate the above to what Cameron and his cronies are saying about the safety of fracking. How many adults and children will be permanently damaged, health wise, before any problems are admitted to?

More cities ha have been found manipulating the test for drinking water pollution.

You have to admit that that it is a pretty f##ked up society that spends trillions of dollars on a military system, with bases all around the world. To keep its citizens safe from terrorists. Yet at the same time deliberately with holds the funds that will keep them healthy.

Fracking companies are fast going bankrupt in the U.S. so why is the British government still going ahead with drilling licenses?

What is going on behind the scenes? A very incestuous political relationship.

Democracy Now airs part of a documentary about the town of Flint's water. Three times the authorities were warned of the dangers and three times they ridiculed those who were doing the right thing.

All concerned should be jailed.

Well as a civilization we have developed some what. In the old days if you denied the edicts of the church you were burned at the stake and that was after your recantation was tortured out of you.

I know people who still think like this, unfortunately people who should know better! Well I'll just keep trying to offer an alternative view - carefully - and maybe eventually.. ....

i know of a few companies who have been on the wrong side of E.U. regulations and have either faced a fine or have gone bust.

So why does an institution that enforces its rules and regulations on businesses and countries decide to change/ignore those same rules and regs when they get heavily lobbied by the likes of Monsanto?
