Let me first of all say I'm a great believer in re-using, as far as is reasonably practicable, all resources such as glass, plastics, metals etc.

Further to the above, the 5p carrier bag con trick.

A mate, John, single and a taxi driver went to do his weekly shop at A*D* last week. He payed for his groceries then went to pack them in used carrier bags from another supermarket only to be STOPPED, PREVENTED FROM USING THEM AND ORDERED TO BUY SUFFICIENT 5p A*D* BAGS TO HOLD HIS SHOPPING by a member of their staff.

What an absolute bloody disgrace!

I thought the idea of the 5p bag tax was to encourage us to re-use old carrier bags and save the planet. NOT to provide an opportunistic supermarket with an open goal to charge US for advertising THEM!

I told him to go to Aldi or Lidl. They've always encouraged the re-use of ANYTHING to carry home your discount shopping.

Your friend should have asked to speak to the manager over this issue and he could tell him/her that he works for the local rag; and others will hear about the real policy on shopping bags at this particular store. Lets see if A*D* will like their name being advertised in a different way.

This group of cartoons just about sums up the global warming alarmists.

In America some politicians are calling for the criminalisation of those who do not agree with the "official" version of climate change. If that is not desperation what is?

Do'nt worry all radiation readings will be rigged to show that you are all safe.

A number of different sea animals wash up on the shore of an island and all the papers can say, is that it might be pollution. Other papers write of the same findings in different areas and all mention pollution.

Not one mentions the elephant in the room, radiation from Fukushima.

About the same time they admit to war crimes in China, Malaya, Indonesia, and Thailand.

When we lived in Yorkshire, my missus bought a shopping bag from the market. It was one of the old-fashioned kind that you don't see much any more. She still uses it and it's perfectly adequate for our needs. Plastic bags are a damned blight, especially those flimsy ones that tear as soon as you touch them. As for A*D*, they're the UK version of Wal-Mart. Don't patronize them if you can possibly help it. They treat their workers in the USA like dirt.

The word I use is PSYENTISTS and this is the Geordie Dickshunary meaning:

Psyentists: Not real scientists but people who wear white coats and invent scenarios that get into the heads of the population so the gummint can charge more taxes without being regarded as robbing cunts.

"I'm back!"

In England we have a disease that affects our ash trees, called ash die back. We are fortunate that some are resistant but we are still loosing many of this beautiful tree.

Italy also has a disease that is decimating one of its trees. There is no immunity and this tree has an enormous cultural and financial effect on the community. The olive tree.

NASA Admits Antarctica Gaining Land Ice (But good news is bad news to climate alarmists)

The Club Of Rome appears to say the increase in ice cover may not be due to falling sea levels but snowfall, all of which makes me scratch my nut, after I've scratched my nuts. You see, IMHO snow is frozen water but that which falls from the sky as opposed to becoming ice formed from the sea. Regardless, isn't there a finite amount of water on earth which really never changes? So if it's falling from the sky as snow it's not falling as rain and doesn't that suggest the temperature overall is falling?

Oh my head hurts.

The same Club Of Rome appears to have predicted, in 1971 that the world would run out of copper in 2007, gold in 1982 and petroleum in 2002. They also said there'd be no zinc by 1994 so maybe if there hadn't been so many porn channels.....nuff said?

I can't be bothered with their greenwash any more. You can read the script here: https://www.corbettreport.com/nasa-admits-antarctica-gaining-land-ice-but-good-news-i s-bad-news-to-climate-alarmists/

There is much about the "mysterious" dramatic drop of the fish population in the Western American news outlets. Really?

If the news outlets informed their readers and viewers about the radiation readings gathered from the coast lines there would be no mystery.
