is that the financial meltdown the world just suffered was all China's fault.

Here is Paul Craig Roberts analysis of the claim it is all China's fault.

WARNING: START BAILING OUT, THE SHIP IS SINKING

This from NatWest today, Friday 28th August 2015:

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) is a scheme provided by the UK Government. It gives a level of cover for your money if anything happens to your bank, building society or credit union.

Their deposit protection limit is changing from 1 January 2016. This change applies to all banks, building societies and credit unions in the UK.

What's changing

For individuals: the level of cover is reducing from 85,000 to 75,000 per bank, building society or credit union

For joint account holders: each account holder will have a level of cover up to 75,000

WARNING: START BAILING OUT, THE SHIP IS SINKING

Same day: Up to 275,000 HSBC customers not payed on time and Barclays regrets a number of people haven't received payments due into their accounts.

Talk about timing: Where do you go to get help on the Friday evening of a Bank Holiday Weekend?

Remember my advice: Invest in corned beef, tinned soup and baked beans. When TSHTF you'll be able to buy anything with food but gold won't make a hammer or screwdriver.

Those who are inclined to think ahead and make plans for the above happening,i.e. keep some spare cash handy. Will find that avenue blocked if certain people get their way.

Hi skip. I thought everyone had jumped ship!

Here's a new, seemingly innocent twist to banking with Barclays that's recently appeared on their website:

You need move some money from one account to another and Barclays now asks you what the money is for. You don't HAVE to say why but they explain it's for your own benefit so probably best you do.

I have separate accounts for my household bills and running a car but I get paid into just one account. I need to move say 100 into my car account and a new little box has been added to the transfer page asking me why I'm transferring the money. It's supposedly for my benefit, so I can check later why I transferred the money but IMHO it's yet another intrusion so that we become used to explaining to people "in authority" what we are doing with our money.

But, of course, I'm just a bat-shit, tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist who sees things like bank systems collapsing on bank holiday weekends not once but time after time as suspicious whereas most sheeple, armchair critics, just whinge and complain to their mates but never actually SEE IT'S BECOMING A REGULAR OCCURRENCE.

My grandma used to say"Always listen to what people say but listen more carefully to what they don't say"

This applies in spades to politicians, namely Osborne, here are some facts that belie his statements about our "growing"economy.

There has been a lot of talk about getting rid of cash. It will give the authorities more control over peoples activities but it will also have other consequences that they may not like.

The Western leaders keep telling their citizens that the economy is getting better. Today England reported that unemployment fell to another low level. Mainly low paying unskilled jobs.

So why are big retail outlets closing more stores? Walmart has reported a massive drop in sales which has impacted its share price.

Can you imagine the chaos if there is a sudden economic collapse in Europe, with all the immigrants?

Things are already getting out of hand in Germany. This from their head of police

Sweden is doing everything possible to become a cashless society. Then its people will be fully controlled.

If it works how long before it is implemented though out Europe?

Sorry nordsee completely missed your post.

Their excuse for using this intrusive little box, will be so they can catch those who might hack your account. Seeing as they have not stopped anyone yet from emptying peoples accounts and then they are most likely, going to blame you so as not to compensate you.

Last year when I went into my own Barclays branch (been with them twenty-four years), I deposited thirteen thousand pounds in cash - and I was asked by the cashier, "This is a large some of money, may I ask how you came by this?". It seems they do not even trust their own customers that have been with them for years!
