Yes, without the understanding for the family. He/they can say what they like, but shamans and seers are very anxious people as they are the health and safety reps- they can forsee the probs perhaps. Wec are not looking into these things properly, it's the Victorians and Tudors fault! Re vocab.

I'm posting this on this "Paranormal" thread. Though if we understood "reality" better this wouldn't be necessary.

If you follow the whole of the UFO literature you must know that there seems to be an aspect to some UFO experiences which are different, in that the experiencer may be in a dream like state, may lose time, or their experience subjectively lasts days when in our reality only minutes or hours have passed etc. The experiences don't fit what we might call "everyday reality".

The following link is to a presentation given by someone I've held in the highest regard for years, and in some ways might help shed some light and maybe open doors for those interested in a bigger picture.

I realise that his will not appeal to everyone, I wouldn't expect it to, though I'm sure some of you will find it fascinating.

Thanks phil, Im one of those finding it fascinating as you anticipated. I like the way he is drawing on the Sanskrit to explain energy/consciousness. He concurs with my intuitive responses on the subject and I guessed his age! His idea about interpenetrating stuff and experientialism- does that not relate to Sheldrake and morphic fields?
Have watched over half, but keep getting interrupted- look forward to the rest.

Need a bit of help here. Some time ago, Sunburn or it might have been Kozmik, posted a link to a paranormal site they recommended to me. I can't find the link now and I can't remember the name of the site. Anyone know it?

Thought it would be appropriate to put this here. Ingo Swann has died aged 80.

I'm not au fait enough with 'puters to post URLs, though I might have recommended a site I'd looked at by name. Can you remember anymore details??

Can't remember. Sorry. I do know that one of the frequent posters on here either ran or moderated on it. If you can't recall, don't worry. I've got a memory like a sieve myself. One of the drawbacks of getting old.

Thanks Phil. I have spent a really interesting hour and a bit listening to this. It makes me want to sit down everybody I know and say "here, listen to this guy"

Why when phenomena like this is reported does no one think to take samples?

I've seen that video before and nearly watched it all the way through - I fell asleep before the end - I thought he delivered his speech a little arrogantly to the audience.

I Know what you mean Joe but his manner dragged responces from the audience and made them think. The hesitance of some of the audience to respond by raising a hand indicates that they were not going commit to anything unless they were sure of themselves because there was sure to be a retort from the speaker. I preferred Ingo's delivery to the drab monotone from notes often seen. His delivery reminded me of lectures at college where the teacher was trying to promote a reaction and interest from the pupils.
