Hagbard was referring to a "Mars to Stay" mission one day on his website. I personally would not want to go on such a mission. Hagbard earlier on suggested a group of us going to Devon Island (another place I do not relish), but at least Devon Island is the less of two evils.

Yep. Already read and commented on.

My view is, in line with already announced US policy, future space missions will need to be backed with private cash. Now, if people went only beneath the Van Allen belts because, let's face it, they'd get irradiated going any further, they may just talk. The first alternative is to have privately owned flights explode on their first (or Virgin) flight and put off further investors. A second alternative, just kill the buggers off, keep the cash and fake the whole thing.

Do you think the secretive space program are using exotic crafts like the TR-3B to race through the Van Allen belt or some other protective means to counter act the affect of radiation?

What if the Van Allen Belts weren't real? Only invented to fool the governments of other lands into believing they couldn't get through them?

You see, I sometimes wonder how, if these belts are so dense with cosmic rays and radiation, do we get satellite TV signals through them.
I wonder how the satellites themselves survive, parked in Geo-stationary orbit within the outer belt for years on end.
Maybe they aren't so reactive as we've been told?

As I get older I find there are so many things in this world, which do not add up, we are told so many lies from the day we are born. As children, we are inquisitive, so naturally when we ask our parents something to gain knowledge, we only hear the lies they were taught. Our parents can only tell us what they have been told and they are not always to blame for their ignorance.

The Internet only started to get going domestically around thirty years ago, and is a great source of alternative information and for most of us we have the advantage our parents could only have dreamed of back in their day. I am not saying that everything we hear and see on the Internet is the truth, however, the Internet is part of our lives now and it also reflects life with its lies. But at least we are getting information from so many different other sources and not by controlled mainstream media propaganda.

No wonder the government would like to shut the Internet down...

I absolutely agree Joe, but thankfully more parents are wising up too. I was with a friend who has a 19 year old, I taught him when he was 7 the wee tike that he was, pushed every boundary. She was telling me that he is questioning everything and asking very deep questions, the kind of questions we ask here, so I find that encouraging. The present ruling class is loosing stability the youth are seeing through it and they start with the media as that's what they have been exposed to the most, they understand the lingo and are able to get a different perspective. It's the fkin middle class liberals and all their hangups that sustain the present impasse.
Vive le Revolution!! lol

Watching Apollo 11 as an 11 year old kid I remember how the earth, from space, was so covered with clouds you couldn't make out the land masses. Psyentists at the time said they were surprised at how densely covered with clouds the earth was - far more so than anticipated.

Looking at later photos of the earth from the shuttle, space station, satellites we can now see the land masses.

Another anomally is, looking up from many places there are clear blue skies for hundreds of miles yet Apollo suggests they're nearly completely cloud covered.

Were these 1969 clouds like a two way mirror? You could see through them from the ground but not from space?

Or is this yet another anomally that haunts only me at night? (Not too much though.)

As a side note, at the time I collected the "Tudor Crisps" astronaut badges etc. I wish I still had them. I'm sure they'd be worth almost as much as original Star Truk memorabillia but that was REAL. (Mis-spelling intentional.)

I was twelve years-years old at the time and still remember watching the Apollo 11 launch on TV, while listening to James Burke's commentary and others. I only wish I knew then what I know now - that the whole Apollo thing was a load of bollocks!

As for memorabilia, I had quite a few trinkets to mark the occasion, but unlike you nordsee, I lost them all as well, however, I do NOT miss them now!

What about "Psyentists" - are they from another branch? LOL.

It's my take on scientists funded by the system and following the "official line". Climate change (man made) compliant personnel are psyentists. Those who check the evidence are scientists.

Definitely. I'd never be selected anyway because if somebody said: "Don't look over there behind that crater!" Guess what I would do!

Probably. The propulsion mechanism means that the craft could traverse the hazardous region of space much faster. The shorter time it takes to get to other places means it could skip solar flares too.
