If England had lost to Argentina over the Falkland Islands, would it not have been up to the respective governments to agree the fate of the people living there and not the CIA?

The CIA have released Thirteen million documents. There should be some interesting items in there. the usual like Regime change will more than likely be unreported (cannot be compared to Russia now can we) One that has intrigued is research into ESP, it was funded for twenty years before being axed, it was said not to work. It took them that long?

Reagan put the kibosh on this didn't he? I suspect that the plan (and remember, the CIA was actively trying to get South American governments, especially military juntas on-side in the 1980s) was drafted hurriedly before the USA formally sided with the UK. The report in RT is somewhat misleading in this regard.

The CIA was ultra-paranoid about communist influence in South and Central America. Working on the premise that power abhors a vacuum, the Americans feared that the fall of Galtieri's government would lead to a communist takeover, they scrambled round looking for a solution. Al Haig's shuttle diplomacy in early 1982 is clear evidence of this. The Americans vacillated. Contrary to the RT report, the Americans knew damned well that the British would succeed in the war for the Falklands but what they could not determine was the fate of the junta following defeat. The plan to resettle the islanders comes across as a product the half-baked American foreign policy of appeasement practiced by the Carter administration. It was a hangover and Reagan, after pretending to be somewhat neutral, came down on the side of the UK and blew it out of the water.

Thanks for the comment Desdichado, do you know if there is any truth to the rumour that the Argentinians got the French exocet missiles from Israel or did they already have them?

Israel supplied arms to Argentina before, during, and after the conflict. British troops captured Israeli equipment when Port Stanley fell. Begin hated Britain and was only too happy to supply weapons to kill British troops. The French supplied technicians to set up exocets but, as far as I know, Israel has not openly admitted selling missiles to the Argies. However, Israel did supply Argentina with French-built Mirage jets, and they were capable of carrying the exocet. The planes didn't arrive until after the war but you'd think that the Israelis would have supplied missiles too.

We should have hanged Begin in 1948 and, as a gesture today, we should sell arms to Hamas and Hezbollah.

Some of the tactics written in the above post have been used on pro Trump supporters at Berkley college.

Is it not strange, that Democrats who espouse the system of democracy will resort to very undemocratic methods against those who they have lost too?

Then there is the Wiki leaks report on the American A.I.'s who use other country's malware for their own spying purposes, then claim it is Russia/China/North Korea/ inset country of their choice: who did said spying.

The U.S. media have hardly touched on this report. Those who have are trying to discredit Wiki, totally missing out that Wiki's reports have never been found to be wrong.

The news anchors and other outlets are too busy telling everyone that Trump has supplied no proof or evidence that Obama wire tapped him. Again totally ignoring the fact that they themselves, have admitted, that they have reported stories about Trump, without any proof or evidence.

The American people are being played and it is all going to end in tears.

But ordinary Americans "don't need to worry at all" about this stuff, the former spy chief said, because the agency is not allowed to spy on them.

"The CIA is not permitted by law to target Americans," he explained, by way of comfort.

Oh deary me... In theory, the FBI is responsible for garnering intelligence from domestic targets whereas the CIA does America's dirty work on foreign soil. It's a bit like MI-5 and MI-6. But the lines do get blurred.

Hoover's FBI was obsessed with communists. He even said that organized crime was a myth. Rumour is that Hoover was photographed in a compromised position with his 'close friend' Clyde Tolson and that the pics were held by certain people whose names ended in vowels. There is little trust between the intelligence agencies of the USA and it's a pretty sure bet that if the CIA did engage in domestic spying, they wouldn't share their data with the FBI.

The CIA has a number of restriction put on it. When evidence came to light about its abuses, ie torture, the courts demanded the tapes of said torture. The CIA replied that said tapes had been "accidentally"destroyed. Does the judge reprimand them? No, I wonder what dirt they had on him? To get said dirt they would have either broken the non targeting of Americans law or got their friends from foreign I.A.'s to get it for them.

Was'nt the non sharing of information the reason they told us 9/11 happened

The CIA works very closely with MI-6 and gets a lot of stuff from GCHQ. Tapes never get destroyed as, in the intelligence world, everything has a value. But don't worry, they are keeping the world safe for democracy so it's all right.

I am not sure that their idea of democracy is the one that we the ordinary people think it is supposed to be.

When Assange released part of the Vault 7 cache, he also gave a press conference.

He claimed it had been floating around the intelligence community for a while before he got it. This also has to mean that hackers have also got the spyware too. What do you think they will do with it?

Assange has also given the companies that are affected by this cyber ware the information they need to close the back doors that their software has and how to protect their products from further attacks. Have apple, microsoft, etc said anything? The silence is deafening and adds to peoples suspicions that these companies were in cahoots with the CIA et al.

None of the presstitutes mentioned the press conference, the whorespondents were too busy telling us he is a Russian stooge and a fake newser.

Here is the Press conference,he spends 10 minutes talking about the release and fifty minutes answering questions.
