There`s a new initiative at the Jobcentre that I`ve been
treated to. It`s called Working Links. I had my initial
interview with one of their consultants and I asked him
off the cuff if the organisation had any ties with Common
Purpose. He admitted straight away that they were tied
and trained by CP !
I told him all I knew about what I know which took around
two minutes and he was really surprised at my knowledge.
He was open about CP but he knew nothing about CP`s
real agenda. I wonder if he does now ?

Actually as long as they can't see your TV set by looking in your windows you don't need a TV license. There is nothing AT ALL they can do to nick you, unless you are daft enough to admit to having a TV.

The detector vans don't actually work. They supposedly work by having a very sensitive microphone which listens for the audio coming out of your TV speaker. I doubt there is even anything inside those vans, that is if they actually have any. There is no way they can prove that the audio is coming from your TV and not another house. Your TV doesn't give off anything else that can be detected, because it is a receiver not a transmitter.

The bullshit about how many people have been caught is just an out and out lie. The adverts scare most people into paying. They send a letter EVERY week at least and they don't stop, if you have a coal fire they make good fire-lighters. I would advise that if your TV is near your window, erect some kind of screen so they can't see it by looking in the window, then just cancel the license. They have no right to enter your property.

They pedal total and utter propaganda, lies and dis-information - this is justification not to pay.

I remember back in the 80,s when i didn,t have a TV license.I told my partner that if they called just tell them we didn,t have a TV.
A few weeks later they called round,she opened the door and the bloke asked "do you have a TV"?.......she said " yes,but its only a small one"

tv detector vans is the same as political posters bullshit ! they were a bunch of naer-by-do's who the other people in the office wanted out of the way. How can they detect that you have a working tv unless it is cable or sky or bt. This was the most useless instrument of social subjugation since it carried on from WII , detecting by triangulation ' Enemy Radio ' transmissions. How the hell can any one tangibly state that 'your household' was receiving transmisions to the detriment of others ? It was the assumption of unknowingly naive populations of residents of /council estates and new private builds which perpetuated the notion of ' the tv detector van'. All this subdefuge was purely a tax revenue on the ' masses '.
Hence the recent U.K. gov. pursuance on internet use !
You cannot pay tax on freely available radio waves ( solar/cosmic ), BUT THEY CAN TAX YOU ON ARTIFICIALLY / MANUFACURERED PROCESSES OF DIGITAL SIGNALING !
If you can prove that you only receive digital messages from say a 'pulsare' , black hole, neutron star, or an orbiting extraterestrial inteligence , no license is needed, but If you can prove that you only receive signals from @ ET PHONE HOME , you could still be liable to a tv license, whilst the gov. sends ET THE BILL! or the gov. receives a cheque from ET for broadcasting without a license. As Richard stated, there is no way these people can detect if you have a TV in your home or not, unless you are STUPID enough to give yourself away, then you deserve to be caught. And that is what these TV license scum prey on. If one comes to your door, just tell them to FUCK-OFF!, or something. No half decent human at least, would do a job like that.

All these so-called detector vans are just dummy vans, there is really only a few that they want you to see just to make you think they have the technology to catch you, they don't. It would not be worth their while to have millions of these vans with all the so-called technology in them, running up and down the country, because that is how many that would be needed!

It would cost them a whole lot more than the license fee they would get from everyone to run such a thing, and they know it.

But of cause, they don't want you to know that.

As far as I'm concerned, a TV is something I bought and paid for; nothing more to pay. And the TV or radio signal that is in and around my house is mine too. It is absurd to make people pay for something that cannot be used up, the signal is there all the time, like the air you breathe and they would make you pay for that if they could.

Anyway, TV programs are so MORONIC I hardly watch it, even the ads [which there are more of these days], must be made by brain-dead MORONS.

There is no talent anymore in the program making.

So, I would sooner dump the telly rather than pay a license fee, if it came to it.
