UFO Photo sent to RICHPLANET.NET on 25th June 2009

Photo taken on 24/06/09 at around 10:30 - 11am. The photo was taken on the top of cowm reservoir Whitworth, Rochdale looking over rochdale with the hilton hotel manchester beyond. Taken with a canon powershot G10 camera and the sender assures me the ufo was not in view when the shot was taken.

Rochdale UFO

It's an excellent image.

Yes, it`s an excellent image.
It looks quite small and could be one of the probes
that are circling our planet 24/7.
Was it because the ufo was below the skyline that
the camera caught it ?
Maybe they have a blue underside so they are almost
invisible from below.
I wonder if it was travelling at speed. If so, the camera
operator would`nt have noticed it at the time.

Its very small, where could it be going and what for?
Yes i know.......stupid question.
#139 | Posted: 26 Jun 2009 11:53
Why did the person take the photo in the first place ???
#140 | Posted: 26 Jun 2009 14:11
I spend a lot of time wandering around the moors with my binoculars.. Wednesday morning i was up on Cowm Res with my Giant 20x80 Konus binos which i may add are excellent for night sky viewing!! I was looking at the Hilton Hotel in Mcr, it wasn't a great view as it was hazy over Manchester on weds morning.
I took a photo of the hilton to see how good the zoom was on my camera... when i took the photo i wasn't aware of the ufo, it was only when i checked the picture to see if it was a good shot that i immediately noticed the ufo. At first glance i thought it was a helicopter... I've got a couple of guys looking into it for me.

Thanks for that 381V69, that`s good enough for me !
This object is obviously a ufo......not a balloon or some
frisbee ! Because of the quality of your shot, you can
see it`s a disc. The shading to the bottom left and dimple
at the centre show how clear the shot is.
It`s amazing how many ufo shots are taken without
the taker being aware at the time.
I still think it`s one of the 24/7 alien probes that are
permenantly in our atmosphere due to it`s apparent
small size.

UFO snapped over Edgware by Mark Lawes

A UFO has been caught on camera in broad daylight flying over Edgware.

Harrow Observer reader Mark Lawes snapped this shot of the mysterious aircraft on Tuesday just after 7pm.

After uploading his pictures onto internet site Flickr Mr Lawes wrote: "A glint in the sky caught my eye, this object was so far away I had trouble seeing it.

"I watched it for about 2 mins and it remained in the same place throughout.

"Decided to run for the camera, managed to locate it in the same place and focused camera best poss with 150mm digital lense on a Olympus E500 SLR."

Mr Lawes is now appealing for Harrow Observer readers to help him solve the mystery of the lights in the sky.

He wrote: "It was not a plane I see plenty of them living near Heathrow Airport (15 miles).

"This was strange, didn't move and the pictures now seem to mystify it more. I ran and got my binoculars and within 10 seconds of turning my back... it was gone."

A UFO enthusiast spotted a cigar shaped object hovering over Frodsham

Jun 25 2009 Chester Chronicle

A STRANGE light was spotted hovering over Frodsham before it vanished from the sky.

UFO enthusiast Colin Fowler, 56, of Ellis Lane, Frodsham, was watching a film at home when his family saw a cigar-shaped orange light hovering in the sky at about 10pm on Saturday, June 6.

University of Manchester building manager Colin said: "It was a cigar shaped thing with sparks or flames coming out of it.

"I don't know what it was? It wasn't a lantern, a helicopter or a plane. It was nothing like that, it was a ball of light, hovering in the air over the marshes, towards Ellesmere Port. It lasted a few minutes.

"I could see a red circle, it moved from the right to the left and then it seemed to disappear.

"It was almost a clear night and you could see the light moving from side to side. I've seen things like this before but not in Frodsham."

Colin's wife Hazel, 57, rushed out of the house with a digital camera to try and capture evidence of the bright light, she managed to get about five photos before it disappeared out of sight.

She said: "We saw something at the front but it moved too fast."

Colin filed a report of the family's experience to, a website which compiles mysterious sightings in the sky throughout Britain.

"I put it on the website to see if anyone else had seen the same thing. "We managed to take about five pictures.

The above reminds me of a thing that happened
a few months ago. I was outside having a fag late
one night, came back in, my stepson was watching
tv with the curtains open. He said he saw an orange
elongated object above our estate for about 5 minutes
and he just sat there and watched it, then watched
tv again ! It was the other side of the house to where
I was and loads of other people saw it even though
it was 11 at night.
Yes, I have pulled my hair out !
This is the closest I`ve come to a sighting.

UFO fever has blown up after a couple snapped this mystery object hovering in the black sky above their home Photo: ARCHANT

Diane Prior took the shot after her husband Andy, 40, raised the alarm.

He was in his back garden with his dog at about 10.45pm when he saw two strange objects over his head.

Mr Prior, of Welwyn Garden City, Herts, said: "They were above the clouds, swinging left to right.

"There was no noise whatsoever. I was absolutely gobsmacked. I have never seen anything like it before."

Andy said they couldn't have been planes, helicopters or Chinese lanterns.

"It wasn't a laser show because you would have seen the light going up."

The sales executive insisted he was as sober as a judge when he spotted the suspected UFOs last Friday night.

"The last time I had a pint was last Wednesday night," said Mr Prior.

He has reported the sighting to the Ministry of Defence.

A spokeswoman said: "The MoD examines reports solely to establish whether UK airspace may have been compromised by hostile or unauthorised military activity.

"Unless there is evidence of a potential threat, there is no attempt to identify the nature of each sighting reported."

Pair spot UFO lights in sky over Cannington
Wednesday, July 01, 2009, 09:20

Comment on this story

TWO women in Cannington are backing claims that the Bridgwater area is a hotspot for UFOs.

After reading last week's report in the Bridgwater Times about unidentified flying objects floating above North Petherton, Doreen Bunch and Alison Howard contacted the newsroom to tell their tale.

Doreen, aged 65, said: "My friend and I were so glad to read the article in the Bridgwater Times about UFOs because the same thing happened to us in April."

Driving along lanes to Cannington from a friend's house in Spaxton on Saturday, April 18, at around 11pm, the pair saw bright lights in formation in the sky.

Doreen, of Cannington, said they stopped the car and got out when they saw around seven orange lights flying through the sky in formation. They at first thought they were helicopters but realised those would never fly so close together.

After a few minutes, the lights were nearly over their heads when they suddenly veered off, but not before turning from a dull orange to a glaring white light.

Doreen said: "It was amazing - I've never seen anything like it before and I've got no idea what it was."

The pair stuck around to see if anything else happened, and to their delight, the same thing happened again minutes later.

Another group of orange lights appeared, glided towards them, turned white then changed direction before disappearing out of sight.

Doreen added: "We tried to take photos on our mobiles but nothing appeared on the images.

"We'd love to see something like this again."

The story which appeared in last week's Bridgwater Times has now appeared on three UFO spotting sites.

UFO spotted in the skies over Edgware

A KEEN-EYED Londoner has spotted what could be evidence of alien life in the skies over Edgware.

The glinting object was photographed hanging in the air in north-west London by Harrow resident Mark Lawes around 7pm last Tuesday.

The UFO stayed where it was for around two minutes, before vanishing when Lawes turned his back.

"A glint in the sky caught my eye"

Lawes said: "A glint in the sky caught my eye. The object was so far away I had trouble seeing it.

"I watched it for about two minutes and it remained in the same place throughout.

"It was not a plane. I see plenty of them living near Heathrow Airport.

"This was strange, didn't move and the pictures now seem to make it more mysterious. I ran and got my binoculars and within 10 seconds of turning my back it was gone."

He posted the pictures on the internet site Flickr.

As exciting as the pictures are, however, experts warn that it is too soon to say for certain that the metallic blob is definitely extraterrestrial in origin, as investigations have not yet ruled out the possibility that it was in fact a child's lost helium balloon.

Why an advanced alien race would want to travel countless light years across the ink-black vacuum of space just to float above Edgware for a couple of minutes and wander off again has not been explained.
