UFO at Kings Dominion?

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Denna Smith is a writer who hopes to work with Tyler Perry someday, but, she says, even she couldn't make this story up.

"We were like what is that, we were all stopped and we were astonished," said Smith.

Smith and her family were at Kings Dominion when they saw a black floating ring in the sky. "Is this the end of the world, what is going on?" Smith wondered.

Kings Dominion says the ring is smoke from a ride called Volcano. UFO investigator, Cameron Pack, agreed. Pack said he'd be convinced it was just smoke if it weren't for pictures of a similar sighting at Fort Belvoir, taken sometime in the 1950s.

Smith says she's positive it wasn't smoke.

"Smoke usually looks smokey and cloudy. This ring of smoke was a perfect circle. It was lined up so tight like it was a cut in the middle of the sky," said Smith. She also doesn't think it was a UFO.

"It was like a sign, God gives you signs and I just felt like that was a sign and I'm not sure what that sign meant but it meant a great deal to my family because when we got home we all got in line and prayed together. We were freaking out," Smith continued.

Pack says he plans to follow up with Kings Dominion. Smith thinks his investigation could turn up something.

"I still believe it is still out there we just don't know where it went," said Smith.

UFO fleet filmed over Panama

http://www.allnewsweb.com/page6946945.php

This video (below) of what might be a fleet of UFOs above Panama City is causing quite a sensation on UFO forums on the Internet. Viewers are divided as to whether it shows actual UFOs of alien origin, searchlights or computer generated effects.

It is believed the video was taken some time in the last month but this cannot be confirmed. UFO sightings are quite common in Panama City and over twenty high profile sightings have been investigated over the last few decades.

Scientists believe that a UFO vortex exit is currently located in North-East Brazil. This exit might connect earth to some sort of galactic 'freeway' or set trajectory. It is possible that these UFOs emerged from this vortex

Orange UFOs spotted hovering above Shoreham

It was an encounter of the blurred kind after strange orange UFOs were filmed hovering above Shoreham.

Karel Mc'Chambell told The Argus he spotted the UFOs while he was watching television with his 14-year-old daughter Kayleigh.

The pair, who saw two of the pulsing lights near Shoreham power station, then spotted another four just hours later.

Mr Mc'Chambell, 57, of Hillfarm Way, Southwick, said his daughter filmed the spectacle as the objects flitted across the night sky.

He said: These lights appeared to change formation several times while my wife and I, with Kayleigh, watched the whole event.

"There was quite a lot of cloud in the night sky and it meant the lights tended to disappear from view.

"However they were bigger and brighter than stars, they did not make any kind of sound and did not fly like any type of aircraft we usually get overhead from the Shoreham Airport."

The father-of-one also said his computer reacted "strangely" while the lights were close by between Saturday at 11.10pm and 11.30pm.

He added: "My computer was running at the time and when I returned to it, it kept repeatedly loading and reloading the Google website at speed.

"This is something which has never happened before. Then without reason it stopped and returned to normal."

Mr Mc'Chambell phoned Sussex Police at 11.40pm and told them what he had seen.

They told him to phone the Aeronautical Information System so they could check which aircraft were flying over Southwick at the time he saw the lights. He was also told to contact the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

He said: "I have lived here since 1984 and it is the first time I have ever seen anything like this.

"I spoke to some of the neighbours the next day but they had all gone to bed early and had not seen anything."

A Sussex Police spokesman confirmed the lights had been reported to the police on Saturday night.

He said: "There was a report of bright orange lights which were growing larger and which changed in formation."

It is not the first time bright orange lights and strange objects have been spotted in the Sussex sky at night.

In 2009, there were 11 reported sightings of UFOs in Sussex, according to the MoD.

The biggest year for sightings in Sussex was 1999, when 14 separate reports were recorded, but in 2006 there were just four reported sightings.

A similar sighting of seven bright orange was seen on May 30 over Dover by three people.

It was reported on the world UFO blogging website.

Witnesses reported seeing an orange ball in the sky travelling steady then dropping. Within minutes another appeared following the same path..

Recent UFO Sightings in and around the Los Angeles area
June 17, 12:57 AM

http://www.examiner.com/x-6352-Santa-Monica-City-Buzz-Examiner~y2009m6d17-Recent-UFO- Sightings-in-and-around-the-Los-Angeles-area

Looks like California hasn't been left off the list after all. Specifically, Los Angeles county, which has had its share of ufo sightings over the years. While most ufo reports have simple explainations, there are always a few that stand out, have multiple witnesses, and remain mysterious in nature. The only thing this examiner knows for sure, is there there a few types: witnesses adamant about a particular episode or sighting, die-hard believers and ruthless skeptics.

To each I hum My Wild Irish Rose (I recommend listening while you read). Paranormal stories are interesting; people love to read a good ufo story. Ufology is the longest running soap opera and here are the most recent ufo reports from the MUFON database that occued

The following details some of the recent local sightings as they are documented on the MUFON database:

Event: May 6, 2009 - West over Manhattan Beach, California (90266) saw horizontal short vapor trail move south and then stop and move north. Second object spotted in north west sky - orange fire ball that hung in air.

I was driving east on Gates in Redondo Beach, about to turn into my driveway when I spotted something very strange in the dusk Western sky. It looked like a large horizontal vapor trail that didn't vaporize. It hung in the air for a short time and then started moving south. At times it looked like the lowering sun reflecting off of a MUCH bigger object, as if I was just seeing a small corner of a stealth hidden blimp or other plane.

I called my brother, who lives a little further south and he went outside to look. His view was blocked, so he went inside and up stairs and confirmed that he, too saw something strange. He asked me to go get my camera, and I did. When I back came outside, the object had "shortened" in length and was now moving north. I was able to get some pretty bad footage of this. Right then, my brother said he saw something else in the north west sky. Sure enough, there was an orange ball with a vapor trail that seemed to be hanging in the air. I was able to get some bad footage of this too before the sky cleared.

This could just be a plane and a meteor, but we would like to confirm if others say the same strange things. The uploaded footage is small, I have larger sized footage."

Event: May 20, 2009 - Throbbing lights in the sky over LAX!

I woke up on May 20th at 4:30 , looked out my window and the sky to the south west
above the clouds was a continuos light throb, not flashing but more of a throbbing in a 20 -30
mile area one throb per second. Let me make this clear it was coming from the top of the clouds not belowand it lasted until 6:30. I would love to know if anyone saw this. It was right over PCH
going to Manhattan beach from Playa del Rey, CA.
I called channel 7 news and the police. The police finally got there when the sun rose
and it was gone. The news... who knows. But that is how worried I was!
I did grab my camera to film it but I do not have very good night camera.
If you watch the film I have attached several times you can see the sky throbbing,
I know this sounds crazy but I have not seen it since and I have been looking!
Next time I will get in my car and go closer!"

Event: May 27, 2009 - Four unidentified chevron shaped objects were observed for twenty minutes over the mountains just to the north of the west side of the San Fernando Valley.

My wife, daughter, my daughter's boyfriend and myself were sitting in our backyard at 19:30 on May 27, 2009 when I noticed what looked like a black baloon at about 30 degrees in the northern sky. I stood up and focused on the object and asked my daughter to run inside and get my binoculars. I wanted to confirm that the object was just a balloon. A few minutes later when I looked at the object thru the binoculars I could tell that this wasn't a balloon. The object appeared to have a body and wings, but not like any aircraft I've ever seen. The edges of the object were fuzzy and appeared to be changing shape. Even when viewed through the binoculars, the object appeared small, and therefor, was very high up in the sky.

I asked my wife to get my digital camera, a Cannon 7.1 mega pixel Power Shot. I handed the binoculars to my daughter and quickly framed the object and started snapping photos. I used two settings, auto and landscape, and zoomed to the max 4x on the landscape setting.

While I continued to snap pictures, my daughter kept an eye on the object through the binoculars. She described what she was seeing as an object that was constantly changing shape and color. The sun was low in the western sky, and the typical sunset / smog effect in the LA area was causing the object to change colors from black to orange-red to silver.

Within a few minutes, three other object appeared in the same area of the sky. The objects appeared to be slowly rising higher and moving towards the north, away from us. The wind on the ground was maybe 5 mph blowing towards the south. There were a few cirrostratus clouds and the objects appeared to be at about the same height. Our best guess was that the objects were at 20,000 to 30,000 feet.

Our best guess was that the objects were about 15 miles to the north of us over the Oak Mountains, just to the east of Rocketdyne which is located on the Simi Hills.

The objects appeared to be hovering in place for about twenty minutes with only minor movement. Based on the photos and the observations through the binoculars, we all thought the objects were rising and moving slowly to the north.

At 19:50 the objects just disappeared from our view. We continued to watch for another 15 minutes, but didn't see anything else.

On a normal evening, we see commercial aircraft approaching the Burbank Airport. The commercial aircraft are usually flying at 3,000 feet as they pass our vantage point, moving west to east.

I'm attaching three of the thirty photos I took to this report. The first photo shows one dark object in the center of the frame and a commercial plane in the lower left. The second shows three unidentified objects in the same frame. The third shows two objects and a powerline in the foreground.

We are all certain that this was not a standard aircraft, neither private, military nor commercial. This was not a balloon, star or planet. There was no sound coming from the objects. We had no sense that the objects were attached to each other or flying in a formation.

Because of the height, it is impossible to say how large the objects were, but our best guess would be that they were larger than any standard commercial aircraft. Their movement, or lack of movement, indicates again that this was not a standard aircraft."

Event: May 22, 2009 - Big bright white triangle with flashing lights on the exterior.

I walked outside to get my baby monitor and noticed a large and bright white triangle in the sky with sparkling lights on the edges. I didn't think initially that it was a UFO because I'm not the type to look for them. I figured it was something affixed to the top of a far off building that was illuminated for the night, maybe for a party... but while looking and thinking I realized it was too large and too odd for that. Still, I didn't think it would move because it just was there for so long and not moving and not making any sound. It was north of Tarzana, where I was located.

So, I bent down to get the baby monitor and my iphone so I could take a picture, and when I looked up it was gone. I never saw it fly or move, just saw that the sky was once again clear.

This happened between 10 and 10:30 at night. I told my mother and mother in law when I went in the house. They were inside playing cards. We went back outside to look but it didn't come back, the sky was dark.

So, I'm not really sure what it was but all I can say is it was very large, bright and shaped like a triangle. We watched the eleven o'clock news hoping to see some report on it but there was nothing. It was too large and obvious not to be seen by many people so I'm wondering why I'm not reading of any other sitings?

Coincidentally, the next night we found my little cat dead. She had survived fine as an indoor outdoor cat for the last 15 years. We are certain she was killed Friday night, the 22nd. The same time I saw the big triangle. Our little cat was decapitated. Her head cleanly sitting on the lawn. There was no blood. Next to her, just a leg (partially eaten) just bone left and part of a foot. Again, no blood. There was also her fur. We are assuming an animal consumed most of her, we just found it odd that her head was so cleanly cut from her body... and because of that wondered if it was possible it was done by people. But because so much of her body was missing we figured she was probably eaten.

Anyhow, summing it up as one weird night, but that's what happened."

Witness sketch. MUFON image.

roswell sketch

Two friends sightseeing along a lonely stretch of highway near Roswell, New Mexico, watched an orange-red object moving across the sky, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The witnesses said the object suddenly disappeared for 5 to 6 seconds, the reapeared further away, split into two objects, then the two objects rejoined each other.

Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If New Mexico MUFON reports back on this case, I will update this page.

The following report and its headlines is unedited. You can read my selected cases by type of UFO report at the UFO Traffic Report index page.

NM, June 10, 2009 - Night time sphere like object disappears then reappers within seconds, splitting in two then rejoins again before vanishing near Roswell NM

While on a short sightseeing vacation trip to NM. from CA. from 9 Jun 2009 to 12 June 2009,on Wednesday, 10 June 2009 both my friend and I were traveling west leaving ROSWELL towards CHACO CANYON NATIONAL HISTORIC PARK via US 70.

We decided to follow a route via US 380 West towards SOCORRO, and see if we could find any available lodging on route. After securing a room at a local motel in the town of CAPITAN, we decided to go for a ride and check out the countryside and stars that night, since the skies had turned clear enough to do so. Somewhere around 8:00 pm(20:00 hrs)we found State 234 eastbound and headed towards ROSWELL (Lincoln County).

For those unfamiliar with, NM STATE 230 is a 2 way road which appears to be mostly used by local farmer traffic and apparently not a very busy road at night. Providing NO light pole illumination, night falls quickly after dusk(or sometime between 8:45 PM and 9:10 PM or 20:45 to 21:10 hrs this time of the year). I had to engage the vehicle's high beam lights through out our entire ride, in order to better see the road's contour reflectors/markers/signs and also to avoid hitting any of the local wild life. In the 2.5 hours that we'd traveled to & from on this road, no other vehicles were encountered (nor could be seen at a far distance in the mostly flat landscape)in either direction.

Sometime around 9:00 PM (21:00 hrs)we'd reached marker 41 on STATE 230 and after passing this marker, but before reaching 42, we decided that rather than continuing further in that direction, it was best to go trail back westbound for a spot to stop. So we turned the car around and parked just on the shoulder of the road by marker 41, before heading back west to CAPITAN. We turned off our vehicle's engine & lights, and sat there inside the vehicle talking in total darkness, checking out the view and commenting on how dark it was for this chilly, clear and moonless starry night(up to that point...a full moon rose up later on round 10:00 or so PM (22:00 hrs).

At about 9:10 PM (21:10 hrs) and with the western skies providing just a bit more of lighter dusk shades on the horizon than the darker eastern skies, my friend and I both noticed an object, and although we couldn't make out the outline of it's fuselage, it had a very bright and steady glowing orange to reddish light. At first I thought it to be an aircraft traveling typically fast in a straight line, in a nor-east to east bound direction and at what seemed to me to be at a 30 degree angle above both the barely visible horizon, and the western mountain range.

Having served in both the USMC & the USCG, I am well familiar with many types of military aircrafts, so it seemed somewhat odd to me that a craft traveling that fast at night, did not have any other type of fuselage lights "ON", nor did it produce the familiar distant sounds of jet engines, or sound barrier blasts we're all familiar with.

I was just about to say something to my friend when at that very same moment he bursted out saying: "What is that?"..."do you see it?"

No sooner does he asks... when this the object suddenly disappears, vanishing for what we'd estimated to be 5-6 seconds, when it suddenly re-appears again further along on what seemed to me to be 2-3 clicks to the east (still traveling on a straight course)when suddenly IT SPLITS INTO TWO(2)lights(of same orangish-reddish color), which traveled parallel to each other at first, then separating/widening apart in an arc fashion, until just as quickly both lights seemed to REJOIN or "MELT" back into ONE single light- VANISHING immediately thereafter. There was absolutely no sound or echo whatsoever of a collision, nor was there any visibly "hot" falling debris falling into the desert landscape, nor did we see any smoke or "trails" in the sky or fire coming out of the desert landscape thereafter.

My friend and I sat there for about 5-10 minutes both perplexed and excited at what we'd seen. We asked ourselves a number of questions (i.e.: was it fireworks?...was it a satellite?...could it have been spotlights? but none of these questions seemed to have a rational answer as to what we'd witnessed on that night. The entire episode lasted approximately 30 seconds and although I had a digital camera with me, unfortunately I could not retrieve it and power it up quick enough to take pics of the event given how quickly it all happened.

I recall when the film Close Encounters first came out it was said that when first contact was made there'd be a build up to it, including an increase in ufo activity. If you ask me there's an significant increase in ufo activity leading up to something big.

English Channel night sky peppered by UFOs?

A fresh wave of UFO sightings reportedly viewed by hundreds of onlookers late on Monday night have been explained away as nothing more ominous or otherworldly than a dazzling downpour of galactic debris.

More pointedly, British coastguard officials have moved to quash fanciful stories of alien visitation, claiming that widespread reports of strange lights hurtling through the night sky above the English Channel coincided with an expected meteor shower.

"There were reports of flares all down the coast, which went on for about half and hour but there was a forecast for a meteor shower," commented a Solent Coastguard spokesman.

"At some times of the year you get known showers, although I'm not sure if this was one of them, but certainly on a clear night it's not uncommon to see them," he added. "You get reports right along the coast virtually simultaneously, that's the give away really."

Meteor shower or otherwise, the lightshow was seen and reported by people all along the English coastline from Hampshire down to Devon, and also on the Channel Island of Jersey and across the thin body of water in France.

With shocked callers claiming to be witness to a series of glowing green and white lights darting across the sky at around 21:30 on Monday night, it is believed the meteor shower was likely one of three officially forecast to happen during the summer months.

Monday night's meteor shower follows on from last week's close encounter experienced by German teenager Gerrit Blank (14) who suffered a glancing blow to the hand by a meteorite travelling at 30,000 miles per hour as he walked to school.
