I was waiting in Beckington Park to be picked up by a friend it was 10.43 PM ish. i just finished a cigerette. it was a clear sky and full moon. I looked up because it was a fluke and i noticed it was a bright night, just then i caught sight of a bright orange in colour fire like disc thing floating left in the sky i saw it was it came into view from behind the villiage hall roof. i could not tell how far away from me, but they looked like they were above the next field. i thought it was maybe a plane or something, but it was all fire like orange and in a kind of disc shape, hard to tell as it had like a glow round it. it was silent..then i thought i had seen a shooting star. it was flying north from me over that feild. all of a sudden i saw another identical thing flying in the same path as the other and flew in an almost straight line..it met up with the first..which was now stationary. Then as i was trying to figure out what they were i saw three more, again flying along the same path, but one was higher than the others. they were all the same shape size and colour, and appearing from the same direction, they all went at slightly differnt speeds and then they caught up with the first..they were silent no sound at all. Slowly the first began to fade/disapear i couldnt tell if it was going away or just fading away. the other four got so close together..too close...as if they could crash and then began to do the same..disapear from view. In the same place as the first one was fading. They all disappeared... I thought that was the end of it..but no... three more came from the same direction again heading left to the same area as the others..they were flying at differnt heights, one was higher, and one was slower and further behind. They again did the same they began to disapear...there were just those three now at this point..Then just as the first ones they too faded away.. Im not one for beliving in UFOs but that has to be the strangest thing i have ever seen in my life.

Spate of regional UFO sightings

CHRIS BISHOP

Last updated: 10/08/2009 15:41:00
RAF Marham today ruled out any possibility its aircraft had sparked a flood of UFO sightings.

Witnesses have reported seeing bright orange lights in the sky at locations including Dereham, Downham Market, Holkham, Caister and Norwich in recent days.

News of the sightings comes a week after a helicopter pilot had reported seeing a strange orange light over in the sky over Norwich.

Dennis Sayer, from Dereham, said: "Me and the wife spotted an orange light passing our house here in Dereham from the Windsor Park area about 11.15 Monday night looking out from a bedroom window and it was coming from the Norwich area heading toward Fakenham/Wells way.

"It did not appear to be going that fast about the speed of a helicopter or less .I tried taking a picture of it with my mobile but the light was not bright enough it was orange and pulsing and what looked like other coloured lights within it, but the main colour was orange.

"It did not seem that far out in the sky maybe a couple of miles out and like I say it was not travelling that fast because when my vision was blocked by trees I had time to run down stairs unlock my front door and go outside and continue watching it go past."

Helen Liddell, from Denver, near Downham, told a UFO-watcher's message board: "My husband and I were standing outside our back door when we saw a large orange light in the sky seemingly coming towards us.

"Initially, we thought it must be some kind of plane, however, there was no noise at all. The light then changed course and moved horizontally, flickering at times, it remained visible for 51 seconds and then disappeared."

One poster from Norwich said: "Strange bright orange light moving through the thought it was a plane but it moved very fast came from over Norwich then stopped and seemed to go upward into the sky and disappeared. Nine more followed."

Another, from the city's Stirling Road, added: "Bright light shooting across the garden at around 40ft from the ground. It was more in keeping with a firework than anything else. Saw something very similar a couple of months ago in the same location."

A spokesman at Marham said none of its aircraft were in the air at the time of the sightings, which have occurred over the last 10 days. Norfolk police said they had not received any calls about the lights in the sky.

The truth behind 'UFO sightings'
Monday, August 10, 2009, 09:30

The truth is out there and UFO researchers say it might not be as extraterrestrial as first thought.

In the past four months, 48 people have reported orange lights and mysterious "burning objects" hovering over their homes.

Each of the sightings has been investigated by the Leicestershire Unidentified Flying Object Research Society known to members as LUFORS.

However, the organisation now thinks it has uncovered the true story behind them.

And it all appears to be nothing more out-of-this-world than summer party-goers having a bit of fun.

Society co-ordinator Graham Hall said: "We got numerous reports of orange orbs and bright lights and after researching the accounts we found that it was nothing more than Chinese lanterns.

"People were releasing them in their gardens, at parties and weddings and members of the public have been mistaking them for UFOs."

Chinese lanterns are paper-covered lamps which float up into the sky when a fuel cell is lit.

The society, based in Linden Road, Hinckley, says it released its own lanterns as an experiment in July and within 24 hours received 10 new reports of UFOs in the area.

They also invited 12 members of the public, who had previously thought they had seen flying saucers, to watch the release of the balloons.

Graham said: "All of them, except one, said the balloons resembled the objects they thought were UFOs."

The exception was the sighting of a disc-like object hovering near a wooded area over Barwell. That sighting remains unsolved.

The society, which has been investigating UFO sightings in Leicestershire since 1971, added that about 10% of UFOs each year remain unexplained.

Malcolm Moore, 69, from Oadby, claims to have regularly seen mysterious lights over his home since about 2004. He says the unexplained objects appear at about the same time every year.

The last sighting was on July 27 at about 2am. Mr Moore saw a bright white light hover above his garden and then disappear.

He said: "I had to get up in the night and I saw a triangular object which was going over Oadby towards Leicester. I'm sure the objects weren't Chinese lanterns though, they seemed to hover for a while and then shot off at an incredible speed.

"I'm a true believer. There's a lot of stuff we can't know about."

This weekend, the Leicester Mercury received several calls from people in Queniborough, Syston, and East Goscote who claimed to have seen strange lights in the sky on Friday and Saturday night.

One caller, Elaine, of Queniborough, said: "We popped up to our local pub for a drink and several people had also witnessed them. They had been coming over for about 20 minutes and they had sighted over 30 of them.

"They did not look like lanterns and were moving too fast in the sky."

UFOs landing claim after lights go out (Video)
Tuesday, August 11, 2009, 09:20

VIDEO footage of a UFO sighting has been given to The Sentinel by a man who says he saw "eight gold-coloured lights" descending on a field.

Christopher Wilson spotted the first as he drove towards Weston Coyney on Saturday. He said the light went out before a black object went behind some trees on a field behind Coyney Grove.

Another seven objects are said to have formed an arrow shape in the sky before landing. Mr Wilson, who says the incident occurred between 9.42pm and 10.05pm, said: "It was the same yellow as a street lamp. After about five minutes, its light turned off but I could still make out an object.

"It was oscillating as if it were out of control, but kept a perfect descent profile all the time. There were at least six of these objects that came down in the exact way.

"In the north-east sky, a group of UFOs made a sort of arrow shape in the sky then moved in strange patterns."

The amateur astrologer added there seemed to be a lot of aircraft activity afterwards.

Dave Sadler, of Congleton-based Unknown Phenomena Investigation Association, said he was willing to investigate.

He said: "When planes go behind the clouds, it is often misconceived that they have no lights on. It is very unusual for there to be a suggestion that a UFO has landed."

Unknown Objects Observed over Colorado

Published: 9:50 AM 8/4/2009

East of Alamosa, Colorado - 06-23-09

I was driving west on County Rd. 6S, six miles east of Alamosa about 10 AM, on July 23. The sky was blue with some white clouds.

colorado

A plane was approaching the Alamosa airport directly above the horizon ahead, when I noticed two bright lights floating high above it. They were white, spherical, and high in the sky. I pulled over to watch them.

They shifted positions, but always stayed the same distance apart as they moved north, then to the southeast towards me. They seemed to move lower, then simply disappeared.

Because I had no binoculars or camera, I could make out no details at all. I wasn't going to report this because I was alone at the time. Then I saw the photo of the UFO near Platteville, CO on July 28.

The objects I saw looked exactly the same, except that there were two of them, and they were higher in the sky. I speculate that I saw the same type of object as the one in the photo, but I viewed it on end so that the third sphere of the triangle was not visible due to the non-transparency of the center of the object.

RE : Mexico sighting (Home page)

To me it looks like the yellow sphere is a portal
for the light spheres to enter our atmosphere
through.
Did the yellow sphere disappear when the light
ones dispersed ?
Only a theory.

Record number of Albertans report UFOs

157 sightings recorded in the province last year

CALGARY - From fireballs to flying saucers, Alberta is a hot spot for extraterrestrial tourists.

A study of Canadian UFO sightings suggests a record number of people in the province spotted mysterious objects zooming through the sky last year.

From unusual lights to unexplained aircraft manoeuvring in mid-air, "Albertans are definitely seeing some unusual things," said Chris Rutkowski, a Winnipeg-based "ufologist" who has spent the past two decades studying reports filed by more than 15,000 witnesses coast to coast.

The number of UFO sightings in Alberta last year was the highest ever, with 157 residents spotting unusual celestial activities.

That doesn't surprise Rutkowski, who believes a combination of factors, including the ease with which people can report their observations to UFO-themed websites, has contributed to the uptick.

Flying saucers -- once the standard mode of transport for alien life forms--have apparently fallen out of vogue, with more people characterizing their observations as a fireball or mysterious blob.

"It's not egg-shaped, spherical or triangular in shape, but something with protrusions and the lights seem to change shape as you're watching," said Rutkowski. "The Hollywoodstyle flying saucer is really passe, in some ways."

Numerous sightings occurred in Calgary, including one in December, in which two people reportedly saw a yellow object moving over the city at 11 a. m. It was small and witnesses said it didn't behave like an aircraft.

A week earlier, another person allegedly saw a UFO-like object following a helicopter at 8:12 p. m.

Calgarian Jim Moroney spends much of his spare time meticulously logging these sorts of extraterrestrial encounters for his Alberta UFO Study Group, an organization that keeps track of sightings it deems credible.

People were once shy to come forward for fear of being ridiculed but they're increasingly comfortable sharing their stories, said Moroney.

That could explain the recent spike in the number of reported sightings --not just in Alberta, but across the country, he noted.

There were 1,004 UFOs recorded in Canada last year, compared with 141 in 1989.

"The public is demanding more open discussion and debate around the issue," said Moroney.

"It's one of the reasons why I maintain a website to allow for a venue for people to report sightings."

Of the 8,600 unusual observations logged in Canada during the past two decades, about 14 per cent were deemed "unexplained," meaning they don't seem to be aircraft or fireballs.

Skeptics say weather is often a factor in many mysterious sightings -- and lenticular clouds are a frequent culprit in Alberta.

"They are saucer-shaped and usually occur along the foothills," said Global TV weather expert Paul Dunphy.

"People that really want to believe in UFOs have in the past reported seeing a bunch of them hovering near the horizon for hours."

But if more people are catching a glimpse of visiting aliens, they aren't reporting it to the UFO Sightings Hotline in St. Paul.

The northern Alberta town--famous for its 12-metre-high landing pad for flying saucers -- has recorded a steady drop in calls over the years.

"This area used to be quite active. Maybe it's getting old," said tourist information officer Duane Zaraska.

The majority of UFO sightings are actually stars and planets, admits Rutkowski -- but some are less clear.

"There are always a residual number each year that we simply can't explain," he said.

He estimates that one in 10 Canadians have spotted a UFO-like object in their lifetime and many cases go unreported.

Estonia: UFO punches hole in cloud above turbines, photo
Michael Cohen m.cohen@allnewsweb.com
Photographer Avo Siim was taking pictures of wind turbines near the town of Virtsu on Estonia's western coast when he noticed a most unusual cloud formation overhead. Something was blowing a hole in the cloud from above and sending out pieces of the cloud in a spiral underneath it.
Mr Siim made sure to take shots of the formation and returned home. After developing the photos (above), to his astonishment, he noticed a UFO hovering above the turbines and just beneath the cloud at the very spot where the formation occurred.
'I did not see the UFO with my eyes so it must have been fast' noted Mr Siim.
UFO experts in Estonia have examined the photo and declared it genuine. They have also attested to Mr Siim's good character.

The story was picked up by 'Ohtuleht', Estonia's second most widely read daily newspaper.
This UFO event might be of interest to researchers looking for clues relating to Britain's recent wind turbine UFO event and the O'Hare International Airport sighting where a UFO was also reported to have punched a hole through a cloud.
Are aliens monitoring our attempts to repair the environment we have so destroyed prior to letting us loose on the galaxy?

Lights spotted over East Anglia spark new UFO mystery

London, Aug 13 : A huge new UFO mystery has started after a string of sightings of bright orange lights in the night skies over East Anglia were spotted.

The dazzling light shows have bewitched and intrigued eyewitnesses all over Norfolk and as far south as Ipswich, Suffolk.

John Young, 43, of Sprowston, near Norwich, who was stunned when he woke up at about 3.30am and looked out of the window, grabbed his camera after spotting a strange shining light on August 5.

'I glanced out of my bedroom window to see a bright light in the sky, much like a star except slightly larger in appearance and considerably brighter,' the Telegraph quoted Young as saying.

'It didn't move but when I played it back on my computer I was surprised to see the object was a perfect sphere with a hole in the middle.

'You can even see it appears to rotate clockwise for maybe 20 seconds then anti-clockwise for the next and so forth.

'I'm perplexed as to what I saw. Maybe there's a simple explanation but I haven't a clue what it was,' he said.

Young had spoken out after dozens of mysterious orange lights were spotted all over Norfolk, including Norwich, Dereham, Downham Market, Holkham and Caister.

Andrew Goodchild, 42, a helicopter pilot, was baffled by an unidentified orange light he saw over Norwich just before 10pm on August 2.

Goodchild, who has flown since 1991, said he initially thought it was a low-flying chopper but quickly realised the light was unusual.

Malcolm Vicary, of Old Catton, Norwich, said he was also intrigued by the suspected UFO that night.

'At first I thought it was a hot air balloon because of the orange glow,' Vicary said.

'It suddenly changed direction for a short distance then resumed its original course.

'The orange glow then went out. It then started to descend quite fast in the direction of St Faith's, very close to Norwich airport.

'I'm sure it wasn't an aircraft because there were no navigation lights or sound,' he added.

Other witnesses to the bright light were Dennis Sayer, of Dereham and his wife.

'Me and the wife spotted an orange light passing our house here in Dereham from the Windsor Park area at about 11.15 on Monday night,' Sayer said.

'We were looking out from a bedroom window and it was coming from the Norwich area heading toward Fakenham/Wells way.

'It did not appear to be going that fast - about the speed of a helicopter or less.

'I tried taking a picture of it with my mobile but the light was not bright enough.

'It was orange and pulsing and what looked like other coloured lights within it, but the main colour was orange,' he added.

A WOMAN has sparked a UFO frenzy after she filmed a bright orange orb speeding across the night sky.

Housewife Kathleen Donovan took the mysterious footage from her back garden in Sheerness, on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, after seeing the strange lights every night for two weeks.

Kathleen, 57, was so convinced her images proved the exsistance of extra terrestrial life she even posted her 'evidence' on Youtube.

kent

The clip - lasting one minute 18 seconds - shows the orange object moving across the twilight skyline.

The mysterious orb flashes bright orange before vanishing at the end of the recording.

Kathleen said: "I think it's a UFO. I was amazed.

Amazing

"When we took the video it was moving really fast -the speed is amazing and it gets brighter as well."

Meanwhile scores of people have also reported seeing the bright orange lights in the night skies over East Anglia.

John Young, 43, of Sprowston, near Norwich, grabbed his camera after spotting a strange shining light in the early hours of yesterday morning.

He said: "You can see it appears to rotate clockwise for maybe 20 seconds then anti-clockwise for the next and so forth.

''I'm perplexed as to what I saw. Maybe there's a simple explanation but I haven't a clue what it was.''
