I'm not 100% on Coopers cred because of his religious slant, but he did talk a lot of sense imo, it's a shame he's not around today

I know what you mean although how many people could you lose respect for re their credibility due to their religious views?
From birth many are brainwashed into believing the Bible to be the literal word of 'God'.
Also it is very easy to take comfort from religion
For example
When my Mrs asked for the laptop last night I went to grab an Xbox game and stumbled across an old DVD
From watching the first 20 mins. it would be very easy for me to believe that last weekends events were meant to be so to test me per Masonic Secret 1
http://www.viddler.com/explore/secretsofmasons/videos/52/
I.e. The test a person born in ancient Egypt had to pass in order to become an actual Egyptian citizen

They seem (christians) to get off on wanting the world to end and never having got past the first few pages of the bible without thinking what a load of cobblers. I asked a friend who was bought up in the church why this was and he said(in laymens terms), that they believe they'll ascend to heaven when the shit hits the fan on planet earth, talk about brainwashed!
As far as I'm concerned they've infiltrated sections of the alternative media to spread doomsday and end of the world propaganda to attract more paid up members for their organisations using their tried and tested methods of fear and illusion
I've got nothing against the followers of religion, each to their own, I just think they have a different agenda to mine, my heavens here on earth, not in la-la land

I believe in Christ, the teachings of Christ are the most profound words ever uttered from the mouths of men.

Now let me tell you that my belief is deep rooted, like its a part of me,i cant help it,just like i cant help being covered in red hair.
I dont get off on wanting the world to end......but i do wish to see humanity wake up to itself, and if that means armaggedon then so be it.What else will suffice to free ourselves from the strangle hold that we are in ?

I would encourage you to read the Lords prayer and take note, especially regards heaven.

I really dont mind getting involved in debate regards this,so much negative propaganda needs a counter balance.....but i no way intend to push my views onto others,Iam not a fundi.

Me too dark star.I changed my religion from c of e to Catholic about 2 yrs ago.It took 6months to do and I found it really interesting. As a child back in the day your pumped with all this stuff and you aint got a clue really but to study it as an adult I could take it in and believe what parts I wanted.Im not saying the Bible is correct word for word as it was written few hundred years after Christ so over time the storys would have changed and bits added to suit but I got the jist off it.Its all down to personal choice I suppose.

Same here but I personally would define that as the faith type of belief, which is what Christ was talking about (IMO), as opposed to the type of 'belief' espoused by the 'preists of the temple'; books by rote, as is so often seen amongst the evengelical types who have a crazy way of taking everything in the Bible literally whilst injecting their own spin.

The best book on the nature of the 'believer' is 'True Believer' by Eric Hoffer URL which is the most enlightening and ground breaking book I've ever read, it really clarifies why one set of 'believers' are always set against another, to the advantage of the elite...
And even more disturbing is how when a 'believers' belief is damaged or undermined, they will always go to some thing more extreme, and how the unrooted and unindividualised are easy prey for cults and political movements...the more extreme the belief the better as it counter balances the inner void of the left brain schitzoid that the modern sytem has become so good at producing

Because Tony converted from C of E to Catholicism after he left office, which personally left a sour taste as I had just become a Catholic myself

I'ts personal, but I had not been to church or belonged to any religion previously, though I have read most religious texts over the years.
